The students were really well behaved on the coach and we only needed to shout a few “sit downs”! Here are some of them relaxing and enjoying the journeys:

Many apologies – it seems that I have missed something in the “uploading photos” process. Please bare with me whilst I try again. If I’m not able to find the missing step I will ask our IT experts at school to have a look for me. Thanks for your patience and thanks Megan for bringing it to my attention!
A huge thank you to everyone involved in the Spanish trip. I imagine that there are some very tired youngsters waking up this morning, I know I certainly am. The 37 students on the trip were an absolute credit to the school and their families, getting involved in everything we planned and really trying their hardest to speak Spanish. I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did. Finally I’d like to say a massive “gracias” to Miss Grossova, Miss Workman and Mr Davies, who also made the trip so much fun and helped enormously in arranging, organising and booming when necesary (Mr Davies!). It was a credit to everyone on the trip that we got so much crammed in and the worst thing that happened was some sand trapped in an eye. Well done to everyone!
Once I have trawled through the masses of footage I will put our best pictures on the blog so do keep following…
We had a fabulous day again today. Started with a trip to a beautiful sandy bay of blue shallow water. A large group of students impressively organised themselves into rounders teams and built their own rounders posts whilst others buried themselves in the sand and swam in the (very cold) Atlantic Ocean. This was followed by a long walk to the coach pick up, a brief visit to the Altamira caves and then a leisurely exploring of the picture perfect Santillana del Mar, including Churros y chocolate in a nearby restaurant. The group met and chatted to another school group from Spain and, yes, they spoke Spanish! A great day for everyone. Tomorrow´s adventures are upward bound as we head into the mountains and a white knuckle cable car ride in the Picos. Will update again when I can push our hotel manager off his compute! ¡Buenas noches desde España!
